Portland’s own Forix will be featured in 2 seminars put on by the Mac Store in Portland and Seattle this week, covering the topic of iPads in business.
Many business owners have leveraged the power of Apple’s popular tablets in a variety of unique and innovative ways. From ordering in restaurants to climate control in warehouses, companies of all sizes are capitalizing on the new frontier of convenient mobile technologies.
David Van Veen, who oversees the mobile division at Forix, will be outlining a practical approach to getting started with mobile apps. Van Veen will be covering a series of common questions he encounters, ranging from budgets to timelines. “It is important to understand the key steps in the process,” says Van Veen. “Most people don’t know where to begin when it comes to mobile apps, and I want them to see that entry into the mobile space is not as intimidating as some many think.”
In addition to Forix, attendees will be treated to presentations from Uncorked Studios, Apple, FileMaker and Urban Airship.
Headquartered in Portland, Oregon, Forix is a 47-person development firm specializing in mobile applications, e-commerce systems, and custom web solutions. Additional information about Forix’ mobile development services can be found at: http://www.forixmobile.com.
