Edelweiss Deli is a family business through and through. Tony and Tom Baier’s father, George, moved to the United States from Germany in 1959 to pursue his dream of owning and maintaining his own deli. Since then, the Baier family has passed down recipes, techniques, and secrets which has prompted a major following in the Pacific Northwest. Not only does Edelweiss offer delicious German sausages, they also handcraft specialty breads, house-made mustards and other old-world Bavarian condiments, snacks, treats and sweets.
Their hard work and dedication to the Portland and surrounding areas has not gone unnoticed. On Monday, August 19th, Edelweiss Deli was featured on the Food Network’s Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. In preparation for the show’s premiere, Edelweiss approached Forix needing a site that could deliver an online store and allow customers from across the country to order and enjoy their authentic treats. Today we are very pleased to announce its launch! Using the OpenCart platform, you can now order an array of Edelweiss’ sausages, bratwurst, and jerky from anywhere in the United States.
